Your Mission in life: have you found it?
This arises from another conversation currently running about potential.
But do you know your mission or purpose in life?
If so how did you find it?
Is it easy to fulfil?
What have been a few of the trials and tribulations along the way?
Please share as much as you are able about the purpose of your life? And may anyone joining this conversation be kind to those whose whose purpose or meaning of life is very different from yours.
Let's just enjoy a smorgasbord of differences.
Closing Statement from Kate Blake
Much thanks to those who participated, I hope it provoked some thought?
Some seem to know their purpose from a young age, some find it as they wander down the path of life, for others it seems to evade them. But remember everyone of us causes a ripple effect with everything we do, think and say - so lets try to be aware as we journey through life, be kind and don't cause strife!
Thanks TED once again for this forum.

My project at the moment is to find professional nutrtition researchers, tell them about this diet, and see if they will make a study of it to see if it's one they can officially endorse, give it an official "seal of approval." Although it has worked for me, it would be good to see what the experts conclude.

But no other food at all? This I find difficult to believe over a 5 year period .... I have seen people die of starvation before their cancer got them when it was proven that carroton, an ingredient in carrot juice helped stem the growth of cancer. These people would drink litres a day and have no room in their stomach for normal food, and so they died of starvation. Very sad.
Has your doctor been keeping a close look at your whole system eg blood checks, etc to see how your health is over all on such a radical diet? They would be an ideal person to help you promote this diet as they would have the 'scientific' proof that so many people need.
With your results I can see why you want to promote it and bring it to the attention of health professionals. Thanks for sharing Greg.

Yeah, I get a yearly physical, and it's very pleasing how nearly all of my blood tests fall within the normal parameters. I have told my doctors about this diet, and they've generally been pretty positive. One said it was fine if it worked for the patient. Another didn't give her opinion, but she was all smiles and shook my hand three times as I left her office.
I believe part of the reason milk is excellent for weight loss is because it's mostly water, zero calories, so it fills you up. And yet it's very tasty because of the "milk solids." Also I think it's easy to digest because it's already in fluid form, your body can easily grab the nutrition, eliminate the waste, and off you go. It won't hang on you like solid food.
I'm going to keep your idea in the back of my mind about using my doctors in the quest for validation. Somehow they don't feel right just at the moment, I can't say why, it's a gut thing, an intuition thing. I actually emailed an org here in the states for nutritionists, sort of like the AMA except for nutrititionists instead of medical doctors. I see they replied, so I'll have to open that up.
I got this idea from the Masai of Kenya, who live on products of the cow, milk and beef. If you've never looked into them, they're pretty interesting.

Before this I ate fairly healthfully, with meat, dairy, vegetables. I gave myself many treats back then, such as chocolate and beer.
It sounds boring, but it's not. For one thing, it just feels fantastic to be a normal weight. Right now I'm 6 feet two inches and weigh 165. I look in the mirror and I look really good. Also, milk is a delicious food. Really, there's something wonderful about drinking any fluid, it's very refreshing. And I get that refreshment constantly. Also, I get a lot of pleasure from thinking about milk. For instance, lately I've resolved to drink my milk straight from the gallon container, rather than than putting it in a drinking glass. Why? Because the gallon container is shaped more like a breast, round and full at the bottom and narrowing to something like a nipple, and that pleases me. It took me a long time to realize that, and that is a conceptual, "thinking" kind of realization.
