What's most important to you?

I've asked this question to thousands of people so far. I find it intensely interesting. The most common answers are family, human relationships, a job, money, school, yourself, and following your dreams. What about you? What thing, person, time, event, or belief is most important to you?

    Jan 11 2013: Freedom.
    When everyone else wants security, I want freedom.
    It is unwieldy, wild, ferocious, frightening and full of life.
    It is what has been fought for since the beginning of time, so I consider it important.

    It is becoming more rare day-by-day.

    Kindness towards ourselves and each other. Including all those 4 legged ones that Linda likes, the insects, snakes and scorpians, fish, birds, just every living creature.

    It is to keep my DNA alive ---- life goal.
    In order to keep my DNA alive, I have to keep all humankind's alive, too.
    Or, there will be wars. .... human self-exticntion.

    Jan 8 2013: I've lived enough to know that what is important changes over time. For instance, when I wake up in the morning the most important thing is coffee. And there is trouble if coffee is not near by.

    But if you are talking about values, those are usually consistent. My values have not changed much over time. I value my family, myself, and others in that order. Others include 4 legged animals. Sometimes I value 4 legged creatures over the 2 legged kind.

    Jan 8 2013: I don't have children yet, but I have always been excited thinking about the day I do have a child. I think that they will be most important to me.
