Can planet earth merge with other civilization to improve level of civilization ? What our civilization can offer in exchange ?
According to The Soviet astronomer ( scientist) Nikolai Kardashev , scale method of measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement, is based on the amount of energy a civilization is able to utilize.
The scale has three designated categories called Type I, II, and III. A Type I civilization uses all available resources impinging on its home planet, Type II harnesses all the energy of its star, and Type III of its galaxy. The scale is only hypothetical and in terms of an actual civilization, highly speculative; however, it puts energy consumption of an entire civilization in a cosmic perspective.
Others have extended the scale to even more hypothetical Type IV beings who can control or use the entire universe, or Type V that control collections of universes. Metrics other than pure power usage have also been proposed, such as 'mastery' of a planet, system or galaxy rather than considering energy alone, or considering the amount of information controlled by a civilization rather than the amount of energy

But then again the difference between ourselves and monkeys are only a few percentage in DNA, but in those few percentage we were able to build machines that fly whereas monkey are like retarded in comparison to us.
So if there really are people out there i don't see why they would want to contact us since the DNA percentage would probably be like thousands in range, which would make us look like dribbling microbes in comparison to them (if the exist)

That's just not realistic and contacting others can be just the catalyst this planet needs to grow up (our problems would suddenly seem so small in the grand scheme of things).

We wouldn't share any DNA with them since chances are they won't have DNA but some other genetic structure that's incompatible with ours. I think they'd judge us not on our genetics but on our mental potential. The "we'd be like ants to them" narrative is false I believe: they'd definitely notice us as one of the few lifeforms that could rival them given a few more centuries to develop.
