Nigerian leaders are the most currupt people in nigeria

Nigerian government corruption can only flourish because it is rooted in the current culture of the country. There's a reason Italy had the flamboyant, self centered corrupt Berlusconi for so many years while Germany has the dull, but efficient and honest Angela Markel. I doubt it works different in Africa especially when you know you'll automatically get the votes of the people of the same tribe as you. The oil economy makes it even worse: the politicians have access to so much money that didn't come from the indigenous economy and therefore will not be missed by the common people...

Jan 1 2013: The political system is so flawed, such that only crooks and dodgy folks can get to top positions.
The leaders are clueless about what it takes to successfully govern a nation; and the followers have been blinded by religion and ethnicity.
In fact, an typical Nigerian has twisted views on the responsiblities that comes with leadership.

It would be foolish to expect any good thing from a nation so carelessly governed.
