Your Idea: A Weapon that creates Peace
Let's face it; War is a business.
How, then, do we create a product of war, that doesn't hurt, maim, or kill, but rather does the opposite and heals, prevents, and stops conflict that a corporate company can patent and therefore make money from, keeping not only innocent people from being harmed, but also feeds the corporate companies' bottom line of keeping investors happy?!?
The idea is simple in effect, and promotes peace whilst still increasing worth.
I just have little idea on what the war product could be, so I'm crowd-sourcing from you, fellow TEDsters, to help build the perfect weapon: A weapon of peace.
Should it be just one weapon of peace, or, just as there are many weapons of war, perhaps there should be multiple weapons of peace that can each be patented by the companies listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_modern_armament_manufacturers and allow such companies to make money from peace?
as always, I'm awaiting your thoughts.....

i don't think it would be too difficult to determine the companies that funded a particular side for a particular war, then determine yearly profit margin differences between the before, during, and after for the war that these companies involved made products for.
then again, i suppose weapons manufacturers sell weapons to governments as a preventative measure, so weapons products may already be stocked. this makes it more difficult (but not impossible) to calculate how much financial gain weapons manufacturers make.

Can we make them fight ? I don't know how it is possible , but probably it would be the solution, sure not the best one.
Still i believe in change from within, the only way that doesn't multiply negative side effects ad infinitum.

I've watched your videos, I am not a kid either, but it has touched a raw nerve in me.
Now i understand where your concern has come from, and i do share it !
Drug idea is very interesting, actually, but why 'to drug' someone ( enemy? )? Maybe DMT should be served at pre war negotiations and the very idea of enemy will probably vanish without a trace.:)
Who knows what stuff native american folks smoked in their pipe of peace when negotiating conflicts ? It was "the way of love and freedom, here on the back of our Earth Mother." Simply put, the smoke coming from the mouth symbolizes the truth being spoken. That is the core of the problem, i guess. The chosen few don't want to tell the truth or maybe they even don't care to know it. lying is so fundamental to our goal oriented, consuming culture, to politics that it has ceased to be lying at all and has transformed into a variant of truth.
The problem is, all governments from right to left don't want 'boundary dissolving' substances to be used, maybe because eventually it will spell death to the status quo : the division into 'us' and 'them'. What will be governments for ? DMT , psychedelics have a bad reputation as addictive dangerous stuff, but alcohol being not less addictive and dangerous when abused is sold at every corner. It's a bit strange, don't you think ? That's why i told you, that it's only the surface. War is a profitable business , because it is made such. Don't take me wrong , i don't think that 'bad guys ' have taken control and are pushing us into the abyss of war; somehow i am immune to conspiracy theories. It simply goes this way, because our common conscious field is in poor state.

" All we need is love ! " it's not only poetically but factually true. It's too bad that nobody is listening ! I don't know how psychedelics or dmt work, have never tried anything like that, but if you are searching for a weapon for peace, it may be somewhere there ...or not, while change from within never fails :)
