Body Enhancement Suits

Powered exoskeleton suits have come a long way and nanotechnology, in the near future, will open the door for endless possibilities in terms of genetically enhancing human abilities.

But are there any concepts/ideas out there today that are demoing or even retailing ultra thin and flexible suits (clothes if you will) that enhances the human body beyond its limitations? Think enhancements that make you run faster, jump higher, increase your stamina, make you stronger, regulate your body temperature etc.

      Nov 17 2012: Not quite, but thanks anyway. I am fully aware of exoskeleton suits, what I am looking for however is "regular" clothes that work like exoskeleton suits.

        Nov 18 2012: Hmm, the only existant exoskeleton function in 'regular' cloth I know of today are 'push up bras' and 'corsets'. Both of them have a double function, as they help distributing 'weight' and 'message'... ;o)

    Nov 16 2012: The only one I can think of is 7 of 9 but her enhancement came from the inside which I must say is nano engineering at it's aesthetic best.

      Nov 16 2012: Are there any brands or concepts/ideas out there that are selling or demoing apparel enhancement like clothes that can make you run faster, jump higher, increase your stamina, make you stronger etc. Exoskeletons suits does this, but are there any clothes that does this, is my question.

        Nov 16 2012: I would first look to athletic wear for enhancing a person's performance while he wears the item, at least, by adding spring or decreasing friction for the runner, cyclist, or swimmer.

        Perhaps you mean to include fabrics that keep the wearer warmer, cooler, drier, or more sun-protected than he would otherwise be

        I suppose to some degree people may be more confident wearing clothes they believe suit them or enhance their appearance, which effect may alter other aspects of the person's effectiveness.

          I am fully aware of athletic wear, but I am looking for the next step. Clothes that works more or less like exoskeleton suits. That increases your abilities beyond your own limitations. Yes, fabrics that regulate body temperature and protects from sunlight is also something that is on the list.

          Interesting point, I guess some people do perform "better" in clothes that they're comfortable in.
