Is there any relationship between use of hats or helmets and male baldness?

Hats are a non-natural human contrivance that holds heat next to the scalp. While they can protect us from the sun, they also are often used in sports and outdoor activities that are strenuous, so sweat is trapped next tot he scalp.

So, does anyone know of a connection between headgear and baldness?

    Oct 22 2012: I just looked it up and found the answer to be no unless the headgear is so tight so as to restrict circulation to the hair follicles.
