    Oct 10 2012: Some people do apply their understanding and energy to solving problems and others do not. There is not a homogeneous "we" in this. In my experience, those who want to make a positive difference decide where to place their energies. That is to say, they focus based on their priorities, their strengths, and the leverage they might have.
