TEDxPRESSION: Building a Free Interactive Art Archive

*Note: This is not a TED sponsored thread.

Give me your poems...your raps...your songs.

Original work will be published on a website I am creating for social-art. The website will include various forms of artistic expression.

Best part is the website will always be free. I hope to gather a substantial amount of art generated from this generation of people, past generations, and generations yet to be.

Thanks..any support would be appreciated.

*Note: Site launch date is December 25, 2012
*Note: I will also offer artist profiles upon request. I will create a personal website for you and your art.

Sep 26 2012: TEDxPESSION; why the name?
I'm not a big fan of judging art; but will there be a criteria for accepting arts on the site or would anything and everything pass for art?

Sep 26 2012: Art submissions will be accepted regardless of quality.

They must be your own work...that is the only stipulation.

Sep 26 2012: Is there a way your site will be different from other sites that archive all sorts of art work for free, like Behance and deviantArt?

Or are you saying you propose to archive only work by members of TED? You probably cannot use the TED brand and trademark without permission. If you meant to use TED as part of your site name, you better check with them. It's a valuable brand, I would think. It is probably much like you can't just use the word Microsoft or Adobe or Kelloggs as part of your product name without their permission.

Sep 26 2012: I will also be accepting children's art.

Give me your freezer cartoons...save them forever.

Sep 26 2012: I used TEDxppression to get attention here.

I cannot use the TED name for obvious reasons, but I really appreciate both of you pointing that out...really.

The site will be different in many ways:

    1) Free custom built websites for all accepted artists
    2) All work will be checked for originality
    3) Contests and a social network to connect with other artists

I want to create an interactive database that shows you art...you like to see.

    You will be able to:
    1) Pick and choose filters to showcase random art across the globe
    2) Quick turn-around on uploads so new art can be added quickly.
    3) I will personally market your art

While sites like deviantart are great...I want to offer a more interactive site...so the artist can actually touch his fans...not just showcase art.

    1) Live video interviews with artists allowing fans to ask questions
    2) Weekly artist showcases include artist interviews and background

I have about 3 pages of elements at the moment.

I have been developing websites for about 8 years now. This is something I have always wanted to do. I really believe it will, at the very least, allow me to help a few artists spread their message.
