Should We bring laws to protect morality in online games.Because I think the online games are spreading negative emotions and even crime.

Without laws,there'll be no restrict.There are lots of bad things in online games,I'll take one little thing for example.I've seen so many high level players kill low level players.It's just like an adult kicking pupils.In real life,this tough guy will be put into jail.But in games,what he did is permitted.So as many other bad things,like cheating.Games are more and more like real life.The difference is there's laws in real life.If there's no restrict in online games,those bad behavior will be indulged.And I believe that will cause problems not only in games but also in real life,because games do affect our life.More and more people spend more time in online games.It's just like their second life.And living a second life with no restrict every day.I do believe there's something will go wrong sometime.

    Oct 5 2012: Legislation to prevent immoral acts within virtual worlds. No. It's mostly because of the fact that games actually police themselves. For your first example, high level characters killing low level characters so they can't progress or killing quest givers so that, again, other players can't progress. Yes, that does happen. But there are also entire guilds on each server dedicated to fighting the people who play to ruin other people's play experience. In the case of your argument that people aren't punished for bad behavior, like cheating, that is entirely wrong in itself as players can get temporarily or possibly even permanently banned from servers and/or the game itself depending on the severity of the breach in rules and frequency, if it's a minor offense. So are you also going to legislate and punish high level players protecting the lower level players and the game company itself for policing its own product?

      Oct 9 2012: That's a great point.I just thought we should do something when I see those crime.Some people just cheat or steal money in game and sell it in the official market or underground with real dollars.It looks like they are allowed to do so.

        Oct 9 2012: Enough complaints or getting caught in the act and players actually do get punished. There are consequences, some of which people take away the person's ability to play. Some people still feel it's worth the risk. Unfortunately, in that regard, games actually completely match reality.

          Oct 9 2012: I have another question,I just got it from your idea.What if the game company steal our money by useing its game rules.They can change them anytime they want.Several days ago,someone's real dollars are gone,and the company just said "It's the internet,not us cause the problem".
