Why is it that performance enhancing drugs are taboo ?

Performance enhancing drugs are taboo while social conformity and complacency drugs are often mandatory.

Physical health isn't really the central issue.

    Sep 18 2012: In order to answer properly ... please explain why "Physical health isn't really the central issue". Maybe death is not considered physical health.
