what are one or two of the enviromental problems people are facing in south Bronx?

There are many enviromental problems in south Bronx I want one or two problems related to this question what the speaker means when she voices her concern for " development that exploits vulnerable communities for profit." ?

    Sep 16 2012: Are they still facing it today after she gives her speech. Did people woke up to save their environment? or they just watching and doing nothing. those problems are not just in south Bronx, they are everywhere around the world. I gave this question to open people's mind to do something in their community.
