Can we have knowledge or beliefs which are independent of our culture?

Our culture plays a big role in the way we think etc. But can we obtain knowledge and beliefs which are independent of our culture?

    Sep 9 2012: Our culture is just a starting point as far as our worldview and experience is concerned.
    By the time we begin to ask questions and open our mind to learning; and when we put our imagination to good use, then we could know and believe in a way that is exclusive to us.

    Sep 8 2012: Ofcourse Ronald it is very important to learn about other cultures its too much conservative that you do not have a look in other societies because we can only learn through the collaboration with others suppose if I do not know the your culture then how can I visit your country. Its the era of globalization and I do not think that there is any reason to bound our knowledge and beliefs to only our society or culture.
