Which book should I choose?

I have to choose a fiction novel for my English 4 class. I have been living in US for 2 years, but my teachers say that my English is quite good. I can manage to read "hard stuff", but I would prefer not time consuming, by which I mean not a lot of hard words, since I have so much homework to do. However, I cannot choose which book would be better. Suggestions, anyone?
