Let's create an organization/startup that helps bring people's aspirations, such as these, to life.

It seems as though many people's dreams could be easily fulfilled by individuals and/or organizations around the world. What if there was a way to aggregate all of these "before I die" aspirations from everyday people around the world, and allow common people and even organization or groups to assist in fulfilling these dreams. It seems like it could be reasonably easy to accomplish. Perhaps the whole platform could take a lesson from kickstarter and similar companies, except with a different goal/purpose at its core. What does everyone think about this? Can we come together and globally crowd-source peoples life long dreams?

    Sep 8 2012: I say Yessssss! to this. It would fit the criteria for my lifelong dream to help create such an Internet experience that resulted in outcomes of fulfillment, benefit, and self-actualization for it's users. So I am in.

    With that I would like to list some criteria that I would like us to consider.

    1) Focus on educational dreams. - Personalize user experiences from educational goal through degree completion and professional transformation into the target career opportunity.

    2) Enable a smaller number of user dreams that pose the most extreme challenges. - Leverage cutting edge ICT and human augmentation technology to the maximum for each case. Each solution should move the dial forward in an exciting way around enabling human achievement.

    3) Partner heavily with leading technology and educational support communities, i.e. Gates foundation, TED U or one of the TED presenters, NGO's, Singularity U, etc.

    Let me know how these ideas sound, I'm completely open to input. - Joe

    Sep 7 2012: I am a professor at a small New England rural community college. For those in our area, we are often the organization. I think there is more need to make connections between existing individuals and organizations rather than begin another.

    Sep 7 2012: A brief look around the net shows there are a few 'Make-a-Wish' like organizations for adults, but all of the ones I found were strictly limited to adults with life threatening illnesses. I am glad to see organizations providing this opportunity, better late than never, but how can we help people experience their dreams in their prime? I like what could come of someone having the opportunity to experience their dreams and the people they would meet along the way, not to mention how rewarding it would be for the person providing a dream-like opportunity. Isn't this what life is about, coming together and bringing out the best in one another?

    Sep 6 2012: Voicing out our inner thoughts can be a good therapy for ourselves and for others too. It is wonderful idea that one can make meaningful contributions that can touch people's lives in a positive way. I hope I can do something significant too and I will e delighted to participate and help.

    Sep 6 2012: It would basically be Make-a-Wish for adults. I love the idea and I think people, organizations, and businesses would get on board.

    Sep 6 2012: I like the idea of finding a platform to voice one's wish/dream/aspiration and conecting/reaching out to helping hands.

    Sep 4 2012: i like the concept. perhaps Groupon.com would be a good partner for such an organization, they have connections with many large organizations. we would just have to find out how to make money from this, people dont want to just see other people's dreams come true so there has to be a "twist" to it in order to successfully crowd source dreams.

      Sep 5 2012: Well I feel like it would be a great platform for companies to show how they support communities. As for actual profit and revenue, I'm not positive. Perhaps proper sponsorship from a compan or group of companies could reduce or even remove the need for actual profit. Maybe some others have some good ideas for how something like this could stay afloat.
