Creating Social Awareness at an Exponential Rate?

As the title suggests, how does one and is it even possible to create social awareness at an exponential rate? Another way to frame the question could be, how does one reach and raise the awareness level of the general public in the shortest amount of time.

    Aug 28 2012: A lot of really interesting ideas can spread through the internet virally. It could be word-by-mouth, subscriptions, spread the word kind of thing from Social Media.

      Aug 28 2012: I agree with James and to enhance that exponential rate, we simply pass along what is profoundly good to all of our email contacts. That gives the profoundly good the kickstart of being introduced by someone they trust.
