what is your opinion on democracy ,secularism and civil society

all the topics in respect to :-1.secularism in current day scenario
2.NGOs
3.civil society working for the benefit of people.
4. India the biggest democracy in the world
5.civil society and media.

    Aug 28 2012: 1. Secularism : It's there in some places in theory not in practice that much, much less in psyche
    2. NGO : Many are wolves in sheep's clothing
    3.Civil Society : Talk much , with limited idea of execution....cowardish by nature at critical time
    4. India Democracy : In terms of pouplation and process YES it is....but how informed people really are not being decieved by vote time tricks of politicians (though it's not specific to India but also true for the so called best democracy as well)
    5. Media : Propaganda machine controlled by power or money.....

    That's my personal feeling only........

        Well about "best democracy" I am not conviced with any country though......as it depends just not only on votes of majority......but depends on how much informed & well thought decisions voters takes while offering their votes...

        I see lot of influence of power, money, family heritage, as well as silly political trick in attracting votes............

        Someone told "democracy is a system of 51 fools".... I can't disagree that much.......
