Is the self just a remix?
Social Learning, Mirror Mimicry, Memes...
How much is unique in ones self and how much is just remixed? You know when you catch yourself being someone else, like when you walked and talked just like whoever was your teenage idol, or when you subconsciously pose like someone you know, or when you realize the memes coming out of your mouth were already in your episodic memories. At least shallow aspects of the self, like social communication, feels like a mashup of "content" from kins. Deeper levels of consciousness is beyond this topic, but perhaps the social brain, evolutionary very young, evolved to just remix others. Extrapolate this theory and it explains every phenomena you´ve ever experienced :) Like how everyone is sort of exactly the same...
So, are YOU a remix?

And technically all creativity and innovation is a form of remix where the original source of everything is from nature itself.
Just because something's a remix of something else, doesn't mean that it's not creative or innovative. Just that our IP laws are bad at addressing what exactly is a creative remix vs a blatant copy.
