What else use can we make of Bacillus Pasteurii, the amazing microbial that can turn sands into sandstone?

Can we make a more general and wider use of Bacillus Pasteurii in our housing industry, or other engineering areas?

How can we use sandstones ?

    Aug 19 2012: The problem with sandstone is that it is weathered so easily. I've been in a house before where the foundation and basement was all sandstone with some wooden supports an it was just chipped an cracked to hell.

      But I didn't know the bad behavior on durability.

      Perhaps the stones quality can be improved by the microbial?
