Classify the products in the market as made by free man or slave man
Each product pass through different stages till it reach us
during these stages it needs efforts from different people
starting from extracting the raw materil to shipping and transport
we need to force the each company to declare the products details from raw materil to final version (Mobile , PC , TV...car...etc)
so we can till if the company is dealing with slavery market or not
I guess no company will agree to till us about the collection process the raw materil
this will be our duty to trace the beneficiaries companies behind each slavery market
and buy cut their products
the most critical question do we have the will to buy cut our favorites companies and brands if we knew they are dealing with slavery market or we already in slavery to our mobile and T-Shirt and Shoes
This Talk should not only win TED prize but the world attention

your question presupposes having them or continuing having them.
I find most people cannot really imagine a new world, without the same old problems and evils.
There is really something wrong there and I believe it stems mainly from the enormous amounts and kinds of lies that humans are raised with, educated with, taught and even forced or coerced into believing.
Always having slaves is just one of them. In fact, there is more slavery in the world than at any time in history and it is primarily financial slavery, from which a huge majority of humans will never be able to get out of unless and until they get rid of the slave system they have.
But, they cannot imagine that. Cannot imagine it, then cannot achieve it. And won't more than likely even though it is very achievable. The truth however, means one has to then take real action and most don 't want to do that, thus why most get angry when the truth arises

I'm coping it here

This website has an Free2Work app (Take Action/Get Involved) whereas you can scan the barcode on products to determine if they are produced with slave labor.

I offer this as a starting point of the conversation. Is what you are talking about oppression or human right violations. All three are trigger words but each is a greater or lesser in degree.
In many countries people line up to work for companies that make products for other countries because labor wages are very low. China is one such market as they export more to the US than they import. Another example is India a target of outsourcing from the US. I use the US as an example as I cannot speak with accuracy of other nations. Closer to the US many companies use labor in Mexico to name just a few.
These people are not bought, sold, captured, or held. Yes I agree they are exploited, used, and are not compensated fairly based on standards from other countries.. However they are not by defination slaves.
I would be cautious of stamping a nation as endorsing "slave labor". The countries I mentioned above China, Mexico, and India are known for low labor costs ... Is that to you slavery?
Please identify the countries that produce products through slavery using the defination provided above.
Bob.

Are there web-sites that offer lists of socially responsible companies?
In the United States, I know of the Green Pages and the Fair Trade Federation and I have heard of groups like National Geographic's Novica. But when I am looking for items like clippers to cut my hair, for example, where can I look to research my most responsible choice? For clothing, I know of companies like Patagonia and Tom's shoes and New Balance (when made in the USA.) But what do I do when I'm looking to buy a cell phone or a computer?? Sometimes, I am able to buy these items second hand in a responsible manner but often this is not possible. (I could go without these non-necessities but I admit that, I am not that disciplined.)
Is there a "Consumer Report" resource that rates human rights and environmentally responsible companies?
Regarding solutions: I know of companies like OXFAM that supports micro-loans and Heifer International that do much to help people in poverty gain financial independence but what other groups are out there that are working to support alternatives/freedom for people who are exploited ?
Also, is there a resource that rates the efficiency that non-profits have in directing their donations to help the people that they serve? A web-site?
It is essential that we do all that we can to oppose slavery by supporting Free the Slaves. It's also very important that we do what can to support all solutions to end exploitation. We must create opportunities to help those who are at risk of enslavement (or are enslaved.)

Enslavement just ends, if the slaves fight back or if the slave owners change their mind. It would be new to me that during history "shopping" ever ended slavery. It did not, but civil wars did. So to say inner political changes, that led to new laws.
And be honest, when you really want to be a freedom fighter through buying your next mobile phone from people who can walk as far as their credit card takes them, instead of people without credit card, then you do not care much bout the slaves, but about your own inner image of wealth.
Also in past there have been people who bought off slaves from their owner. But that never changed anything. And also that is just an amusement for the rich, because those who have to look on the penny will not be able to care under which circumstances their product of need was made. Because at a certain point it is you or them.
That you believe to win a ted prize and the worlds attention through a very naive sight on the history of enslavement, speaks books about what changes we can exspect from the current living populations on this planet-exactly none. The internet talks about life, but it is not alive.
You might change the facebook world through the like button, but you do not end slavery by the same system.
AbdelRahman Siddig
for sure its law problem but what options are in our hands before the law been approved
buy cuting will not end Slavery but it will have deep impact on the slavery market
as a first step we need to know the name companies dealing with dealing with slavery market
listen to Kevin Bales on the same subject he explained how people get trapped into slavery
http://www.ted.com/talks/kevin_bales_how_to_combat_modern_slavery.html
regarding TED prize I strongly recommend organization like freetheslaves.net should win it in addtion to world attention

If this question is answered or even asked then answered, there might be some traction on this subject. The slave first has to accept being a slave which by reason of his culture may accept before he knows there is a question.

So in this context, it can easily make it possible to have all but a few hand-made things, that are given rather than sold, carry the label "slave made".
Money is the chain that keeps you in slavery, while defending your own slavery against the threat of freedom - with all of the money that you can come up with.

this talk is about the real slavery where you work for long hours without payment and you will risk your life if choose to escape , Not the Americans life style which you see it as freedom in the slavery cage this debatable issue since there is a millions of free people around the world their dream is to live and work in USA
any how this point should not be our core of discussion

Take the recent news about Chick-Fil-A. The president of CFA made a tweet saying that he was against gay marriage and supported anti-gay marriage. And then the tweet caught fire by everyone lol.
So here's a customer's perspective (say someone who opposes the way CFA's anti-gay marriage stance):
1) I really like their chicken sandwiches, but if I go to CFA, then I'll effectively be giving them money that they use to support anti-gay marriage parties.
2) So I shouldn't go to CFA anymore, but then where else can i go? I guess I can get chicken sandwiches at Wendy's, McDonald's, or any other fast food place that is not anti-gay.
3) But the other said places just don't have the same chicken sandwiches. How badly do I really want CFA's chicken sandwiches?
AbdelRahman Siddig
Do not make the chicken sandwiches is core of your food

except if you want to label everyone living in dictatorships as slaves. like 1.3bn chinese people. but in this case, we also don't need marks. every product is made by slaves.
i would advise against redefining words. if we want to promote understanding, muddying the waters won't help. sweat shop is not slavery. wage is not slavery. need is not bondage. stop confusing us with silly redefinitions!
AbdelRahman Siddig
what you said is wrong " their contribution to world economy is zero"
please listen carefully before you describe it as silly idea
@3:50 astonishingly slavery generate more that 13 billion $ world wide each year this equal to 6.8% of Hugary GDP
please translate the talk this will be a great help to free 27 million soul not 10 million
Krisztián Pintér 200+
btw this number stinks, as all the other numbers of the talk. wikipedia lists 27 million as a highest estimate, she says it would be "conservative". also, she has associations with an organization that is ... how to put it ... controversial.

but we can stop buying any product made by slave man
we can make web site listing the name of the companies dealing with slavery market
Made by slave tag will be online not stick to the product
# slave product
