why haven't we sent a telescope like hubble or greater as far into space as we can?

if we can send a spacecraft to pluto why haven't we sent a giant telescope even further?

why not leave our solar system and take a photo of it for it's facebook page?

..by the way, does our solar system have a name? if not why?

Aug 8 2012: 1 light year is 9000 billion kilometers. If we sent a telescope to the edge of the solar system, it really wouldn't give us any better pictures of galaxies that are millions of light years away.

The transmission back to earth would be a challenge and we would have to pray that the telescope wouldn't need maintenance as it would be too far to send a crew, or even robots.
