  • Aug 7 2012: The question is very vague. Are you referring to the concept of safety or autonomy?

    Aug 6 2012: May I illustrate using your headline?. . .
"Sure is it make is that are correct, everything to necessary?"
The question may not be PERFECTLY constructed, but it is important that it be CORRECTLY constructed.
  • Aug 6 2012: Perfection within humans can only be reach through mistakes and corrections. We typically make things but they are usually perfected or improved once we find the flaws and make the necessary corrections to improve the process or the product.
  • Aug 6 2012: Perfection should be left for the computer, for it is fast, accurate, "perfect" but stupid as a simulation NPC stuck in a wall.

As humans our genus is in our imperfection, if we where text book perfect we would all look the same, drive the same car, eat the same food because it would be perfect looks, perfect car, perfect food.

Now if you are talking about your work, do the best that you can do, but we will always have some mistakes. (just no forgetting to tighten the bolt that holds a plane together)

Aug 5 2012: Human beings are seldom perfect so if we try our best to ensure we are correct and then we allow for others, with their differing strengths to work along side us -doing their best we have a far better chance to make headway. No where do I believe redundant systems work so well as in people tasks. Sometimes, like in nuclear powered devises we must be eteranally perfect for safely.

Aug 5 2012: It is important for one to try one's best; and to find ways to ensure that one's best is always good enough.
Our actions have impact on people; and we can express our love by making sure that we do all we can to have positive impact.

It is human to make mistakes; but our failures should not be because we did not apply the best of our effort.

Aug 5 2012: I hope at least for Boeing and Airbus it is... :o)

Aug 5 2012: No it is not necessary......because
Then one will never try a new thing or new approach...........

Aug 5 2012: Well, if we had all the time in the world to make everything correct, we'd do it. However, we do not have that kind of time. Therefore we simply do our best to optimize what we can do correctly/incorrectly

Aug 5 2012: Are you saying, Lin, that you prefer not to try things out unless you know you can do them perfectly?
