Feb 14 2011: Since it is really difficult to pick just one because there're many fileds of action and really many interesting people in the TED Fellows program, I'll pick the most interesting I've met in person: 1) high-altitude archaeologist Constanza Ceruti (specializes in exploring and excavating Inca Empire ceremonial centers on the summits of sacred Andean mountains) 2) Faisal Chohan (entrepreneur and innovator, building bridges for solving community problemas), 3) Camilo Rodriguez-Beltran (bridging work in the intersection of Art and Science), 4) Erika Bagnarelo and 5) Taghi Amirani --filmmakers I admire. There are many more working on architecture, sustainable design, etc. also doing great and meaningful works...

Feb 13 2011: William Kamkwamba. I met William in Arusha Tanzania in 2007. What he has been able to do between then and now is incredible. He is a true inspiration to a lot of young people in Africa.
Juliana Rotich. I like what Juliana and her team have been able to do with Ushahidi.

  Feb 16 2011: Needless to say, I'm completely biased. An update: he'd in the middle of winter term (re: freezing and snow) at Dartmouth and is thriving. Having a blast building projects for the engineering class, and doing very well in English class to boot. (He has the hardest teacher in the school, but also one of the best). On vacation days he speaks to raise money to rebuild school buildings in his village.
