Is there any respectable journalism anymore?

"I have been receiving AS YET UNCONFIRMED REPORTS of atrocities, including extra-judicial killings and shooting of civilians by snipers, that took place during the recent fighting in various suburbs of Damascus," Pillay said.

The highlighted section is what I am most fascinated by and how often I am now seeing it in mainstream media publications.
As well, another of my favourites...is the one where they hack and....don't finish the actually words people have said.

    Jul 28 2012: I think the origin of the Journalism actually began with whistleblowers. They were "reporters" because their jobs were to report to society what things are happening, including feel good stories, corruption and getting to the truth?
