Could anyone please suggest a good theme for a (engineering) college level technical festival?

Every year we organize a technical festival in our college, which includes various competitions, exhibitions, seminars & some fun events like dirt track racing! There is a theme every year which is made use of in the designing process. Last year, the theme was Vedic period (where we used vedic fonts & that style in designing process. Being an Indian, vedic maths etc is important to us).

The theme should be applicable to all branches: mechanical, civil, electronics, electrical & computer science! Themes like ecology before technology, evolution of science & technology etc have been tried! Futuristic technology is being considered...

I would love to see suggestions on a good, novel, creative theme for the tech-fest.

Also, there is trouble getting adequate sponsorship because the college is located in a rural area, though it is among the top 4 colleges in my state! Hence, I would also like to know if there are any associations/groups//online sites/institutions which sponsor technical festivals at college level like ours! Please also specify how we can contact them!

    Evolution of energy production.
    This leads to great ideas regarding new and better forms of energy production for the future, while tossing out the old systems.
