If you had an opportunity to spread a message to the larger community , what would that message be ?

I am just curious to know what is in the mind of TED folks ... So the question is quite simple ..If you had an opportunity to spread a message to the larger community , what would that message be ?
Lesser the words better it would be ..

    Jul 17 2012: Adopt the 4B+2012 calendar.
    It is the best idea I know to help save the world or, maximize the survival of humanity thru time. Because it's:
    1. simple
    2. costs nothing
    3. takes 5 minutes or less to learn
    A proposed change to the calendar I heard about fits these guidelines, and so could prove useful:
    A paleobiologist recommended adding 4B+ to our calendar, to reflect the age of the Earth.
    "B" stands for billion, and 4 billion years is aproximately the age of the world.
    Thus his calendar would read 4B+2012 this year.
    He mentioned this could help people reconcile geologic time and human historic time.
    It might also allow humanity to survive thru geologic time - by keeping the world's time scale next to ours.
    The theory of relativity states that spacetime needs at least two points - or in this case times - to measure anything. This calendar offers that crucial second measure, without making things too complicated.
    Using this system, people could think and plan for truly long term goals. Like the year 4B+10,000.
    So just add "4B+" to the calendar in your head, because it's
    1. simple
    2. costs nothing
    3. takes 5 minutes or less to learn

          men and women go to work in all fields of industry ...
          So in my opinion,It is happening in my city at least , I can even say it is happening in my country too... I am not sure about the entire world though

        Jul 21 2012: Bharath, Perhaps I do not understand what you are saying. Are you saying that the men and women in your city and in your country have equal power in such things as MONEY INCOME, RIGHTS OF DECISION-MAKING within the government, private companies, households? Please provide actual statistics of what you are claiming, because my impression of the facts are quite different from what you are alleging. TRUTH has great power.

          Jul 21 2012: Hi Rhona, when I was hired in my first company , I was paid the same amount of salary as my female colleagues who joined along with me ... Many Co ed schools have almost the same strength of girls and boys (approximately 50 :50) ...I may not be able to justify everything I say with statistics .... I am not saying I am completely right , you too maybe right ... thats the reason I said "I guess" in my first reply :)

        Jul 22 2012: Bharath, I think it is important to acknowledge reality as it is. I wonder what most women in your community would say about this. It is good to focus on positive facts. It is also vital to acknowledge the truth as we behold it from moment to moment. Truth is powerful.

      Jul 19 2012: I wholeheartedly agree. I can't bring myself to an all-pervasive love, but I can certainly be civil and understanding, even if I'm in a less than positive mood. I won't say etiquette or common courtesy is dying, but I feel it has diminished, as if the world is running out of time and it has to skip such unnecessary niceties.
