What does the simple good mean to you?
As a society, we are rushing through life so quickly that we often forget about how connected we are to one another through the most basic and fundamental good in our world. What do you think the simple good means to you in your life?

To me, it simply means authenticity, integrity, living life mindfully aware in each and every moment:>)

Thank you for the generous compliment, and I believe we ALL have the ability to connect with our own authenticity. It simply means to say what we mean....mean what we say...walk our talk with honesty, truth, trust, without masks and various other protective mechanisms.
We sometimes think/feel that we are protecting ourselves from hurt, pain, disappointment, frustration, etc., when in fact, we are simply protecting ourselves from knowing our "self", and from fully participating in the human life experience:>) I know you know this Brian, and I'll get off my soapbox now:>)

I know what you speak of Colleen, your genuine transparancy is plain to see :)
Yours is an open book my friend, it's why I admire you.

I KNOW you KNOW Brian....it is simply a matter of remembering. Ask yourself this question....what can I lose, and what is there to gain, by allowing myself to be vulnerable? My experience is that there is a LOT to gain, and really nothing to lose.
Here's another peice of information. Once we take the walls down, we can always put them back up again. We can learn how, why, when, where and with whom to use the protective mechanisms. They are still available to us, and they do not need to prevent the total exploration of the life experience...get my drift??? :>)

In her introduction to this discussion, Priya offers this... "As a society, we are rushing through life so quickly that we often forget about how connected we are to one another through the most basic and fundamental good in our world".
In my perception, one of the most basic and fundamental "goods" in our world, is to be aware and fully present in the moment with those we are interacting and communicating with.
I appreciate you Brian:>)
