online social network consortium
Would it work if there were such a thing as a pay-to-join social network where all the members could discuss and vote on what that joining fee/annual fee could be invested in. Members could even opt on how much of their fee would go where be it in a financial investement or even a non profit cause.
Each member would have to build up their credence through peer upgrading and downgrading of comments and recognition of past correct evaluations and predictions, thus creating a network of trust in opinion.
The funding to run the site itself would run purely off of advertising, since i think any company would like to have presence on a social network investment site.
