Are there any new , creative, and innovative ideas, that are worth spreading?

Hello TED community,
I am organizing a TEDx event at my university and I need your help in choosing a new theme that my speakers will talk about, since TED is about sharing new ideas, I am looking for something nobody talked about before. Thank you for your help.

Jul 20 2012: My take is that they do not have to be new, creative or innovative - they just have to work and if they are not yet plugged in they are worth spreaeding. Maybe it is because so many people feel that they have reinvent the wheel that so few have the shoulder to the work.

Jun 21 2012: Here is an idea. How future economic, political and environmental problems will affect the progress of human kind as a whole and how resources will be spread efficiently in order to keep countries from going bankrupt and how these problems may lead to forced technological developments and wars between the U.N. and other countries. Specifically in the middle east.

Jun 21 2012: Ok. Since you asked: How technological singularity, genetic research, quantum realities, bio-engineering, and interplanetary space travel will teach us to get along as a human family (all descended from the same area in Africa), and to view each individual in the world with significance for the exponential growth in the myriad facets of the human experience?
  • Jun 20 2012: Im somewhat new to TED and this may have already been covered, but how about something on the rampant prescription drug abuse currently occurring in America and what it tells us about our current society.

Monogamy, having a partner for life, might be a healthy feature. Sexual exclusivity is not.
