For those with more serious depression issues, the answer can be far darker. But I'm not going to criticize a young girl for cutting into her own flesh, if that's what she feels she has to do to keep alive another day. Tomorrow might be the beginning of a lifelong upward cycle, although she's likely to reply, "Tomorrow never comes."

Colleen said that we are multidimensional, multi-sensual beings. She is so right!!! The joy and inspiration that comes from being self-aware leaves no room for suffering - all of which comes from fear - which is an irrational illusion.

I agree that knowing who and what we are, and being comfortable with that knowledge is an important piece of the life adventure puzzle. I TOTALLY agree...the joy, inspiration and contentment that comes from being self-aware leaves no room for suffering/fear!!! So well said Gail:>)
p.s....What I wrote, is that we are "multi dimensional, multi sensory beings". I like your addition of "multi-sensual" as well!!! :>)

It's not much of a secret, and it is possible for everyone. Being fully present and engaged in each and every moment with curiosity and enthusiasm creates happiness, contentment and motivates me in the life experience. I do what I love, and/or love what I do in each moment, and I agree with Scott in that I don't ever think about what I "should" be doing.
Every moment is an adventure, and offers the opportunity to learn, grow and evolve. I appreciate each moment, including sad moments, because it tells me that I am alive and "feeling" everything. We are multi dimensional, multi sensory beings, and it is possible to be content and sad at the same time:>)
