Interest can become a habit. Do you agree??

I think interest is what we want to do but we are not getting a time or situation but habit means we are doing that in regular intervals. I think it is possible to convert our interest into a habit

Jun 18 2012: i don't think interest has anything to do with the time we do or do not have. I believe it is simply the desire to know or learn something whether the time is there or not. Now habits are things that we regularly practice regardless of interest. It can be anything that over time has influenced us so much that it becomes second nature. With that being said, I'm having difficulty finding a way that we can "convert" an interest into a habit by choice. It seems habits develop on their own.

Jun 18 2012: Yes, I think that being 'interested in stuff' can indeed become a habit, it is (almost) like a perpetual-motion machine - once you start being interested in stuff you find that you naturally become interested in more stuff.

Unfortunately disinterest and apathy kinda works in the same way.

The forming of good habits can be a tricky thing - outside influences such as peer pressure can have a very destructive effect, that is why so many young people feign disinterest which then becomes an actual habit of real disinterest that is carried on into adult life.

The trick is to head towards what interests you and that's where you'll find others who are interested in the same things...and then you will all drive each other onto discovering more and more things and the joy of learning will unfold itself.

Jun 19 2012: It is simple Sam, If you are passionate about your interest then it becomes a habit sometimes even we won't realize it .
But if you are ignorant about your interest then for obvious reasons it doesn't become a habit .
So its up to an individual to turn his/her interest into habit or not .
