How to make football clubs profitable in third world countries?

Today football is a multibillion dolar bussines but how can third world country clubs compete with millioner clubs.. how can a little club become competitive and actualy make money?? Is the race for #1 limited to Barca, Madrid, Manchester............

    Mar 16 2011: My guess is that football clubs in profitable markets had to go through a long evolution to become profitable. No one remembers when the sport was an amateur endeavour played for the joy of it, then gathered a following and step by step charged admission and then built from there. Unfortunately,it might be necessary to traverse all of these steps to get profitable.
