As a TEDx organizers I wish there were this feature on ted.com/tedx. Please propose a suggestion or an idea around future functionality.

We are working on a road map for future functionally on ted.com/tedx. We would like input from the community of TEDx organizers. What would you like to be able to do on ted.com/tedx?

    Jun 14 2012: If each TEDx organizer had access to an infrastructure similar to TED.com/conversations, we could:
    - Offer attendees and community at large to signup for a TED/TEDx account
    - Curate conversations to engage community around topics raised at our events
    - Match conversation with nearby TEDx communities and/or global TED
    - Offer a two-ways communication platform for sponsors to engage with the community (around the TEDx topics, not general PR)
    - Build a standardized base of opinions, topics of interest, and people at various levels of engagement
    We could draw more inspiration from what other TEDx events have done in terms of editorial content, and it would provide a readily connected infrastructure instead of relying on each organizer to set it up.

      Jun 14 2012: I am not a TED organizer, but read this post because of my interest in the format. Coming from the 'consumer' side, I had recently posted a very parallel 'Idea' in TED conversations before I read this response. I absolutely believe this process would be enhanced - for both the presenter and the audience - if there were a post-presentation 'conversation' venue to participate in. The presenter gets the benefit of understanding what ideas/info were actually transmitted, would get immediate feedback as to the relevancy to the audiences needs, gets to clarify misconceptions, and may get additional contributions to the subject. The interested 'consumer' can get clarification, would be more involved, and can exchange ideas with a TED 'expert'. Also, if these 'conversations' were included in the already developed 'TED conversations' format, it would bring a higher level of participation to the current 'conversations' and bring greater diversity to those conversations which would, in time, increase the 'value' of the TED conversation format world-wide. Thanks to all of the TED organizers for their efforts.
