Demise of women

I'd like to put this to you: I am 35 years old and by the time I was 19 I had already lived in 12 different countries throughout my life. I think of myself as socially capable and have a lot of female friends, some of whom play video games and watch Star Wars "OMG".

Over they years, however, I have found women are becoming or have already become extremely socially inapproachable because they heavily model themselves off of reality TV, talking from the backs of their throats like they swallowed a cough sweet, looking down their noses at people and putting together sentences that start and end in "OMG", "LIKE", "TOTALLY" because anything outside of their cloned lifestyles is worthy of "gossiping" about and just HAS to be a DRAMA.

Since the birth of shows like Sex in the City and Jersey Shore, women of a certain demographic seem to have become significantly shallower and dumber within the generations being fed this shite.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that men playing video games makes some distance, but women modelling themselves on this nonsense is doing far more damage.

This might just be the key to over-population...

    Jun 7 2012: I think it is shallow and immature to blame the current social conditions between men and women on just one sex. Just because Zimbardo's book specifically addresses the issues that men are facing and instead of including the problems you mentioned about women does not mean he is saying that there is nothing wrong with women today. I am an 18 year old female and can say that I have repeatedly seen the issues Zimbardo addresses about men along with the points you bring up about women. I continually find myself disappointed when trying to form relationships of any kind with either sex. It solves nothing by blaming the situation on just men or just women, it is sad to me that we must feel so divided and against one another. We all need to stop being so focused on the mind-numbing entertainment that is constantly overwhelming our daily lives; whether it be video games, reality tv, or porn, and work on our real life face-to-face relationships. If mankind does not work to address this issue, I believe the future for all of humanity is bleak. We all need to recognize and confront our own personal shortcomings and modern temptations to work toward attaining a more meaningful human experience.

    May 29 2012: The fact that human females have conformed en masse to the latest fashionable nonsense (typical of the masses and their females especially), doesn't necessarily mean that females will be passed over as breeders. Nor does it even mean these females are outside of a mainstream --they are the mainstream: as cult like and vapid as ever.

    Meanwhile a large portion of human western males are actually unbreedable with now (but still expected to work for a society that actively derides them, for the "privilege" of female sexual attention no less breeding opportunities).

    Vid games did NOT cause this.

    Your premise belies your ignorance of a main principle of nature called sperm egg ratio / female sexual value. Goodall's numbers are 20% of males breed; human genomics: "[out of all potential human male hominids closely related to us, only 20% are our fathers]".

    Those numbers are typical mammal ratios; but they can get _a lot_ worse (sometimes better).

    The last 1200 years in the West allowed most male humans who survived disease and childhood to breed. That was temporary phenom as our species went from "tournament" polygygny(eg gorilla, male picks fems) to "handicap" polyandry(eg birds, fems pick males).

    The female humans don't know who to boink now: vestigial tourny winners or _various_ deferential dis-players. Their minds actually change from week to week in their cycle.

    Nature will decide over the long haul through naturally selecting the female types who get horny for the "right" type of displayers --unless tournament killers make a comeback(unlikely).

    Either way it will be a high cull ratio as it always is in nature. Sperm egg ratio --not to mention the way that has "optimized" over tens of thousands of human tribal generations for female protection impulses in both genders and male disposablity which females are mostly apathetic about [for losers provide 0] and males often prefer-- will cause there to be a bias benefiting female numbers.

    May 27 2012: I recognise everything you’ve said in many of the UK‘s under 25 population (both men and women).

    In the UK we have a horrid TV soap called “EastEnders” following the life “dramas” of thieves, gangsters, murderers, married men who constantly fuck around, girls who dress (and behave) like prostitutes, disrespectful, angry dialogue, dysfunctional / deranged teens, drug addicts, drunks and other assorted stupid losers. It started over 25 years ago as an opportunity for the BBC to compete against another long running TV soap opera called “Coronation Street” which was produced by another TV network. Since then, not only has Coronation Street joined EastEnders in a race towards the gutter, but real society seems to be taking the characters as role models for life!

    I have also noticed that many people are also suffering from a High Rising Terminal (HRT) in their speech, where the sentence ends on a rising tone - like a spoken question - but for all sentences. So, for example, the statement “I like eating bread.” becomes “I like eating bread?“ Well if you don’t know, how do you expect me to? :-) It makes them sound REALLY thick!

    I also recognise your claim that many people live for traumatic drama in their lives, even for trivial things like a wasp flying through an open window - from the screams and shouts you’d honestly think a gunman was opening fire.

    I haven’t got any answers - just nice to have a rant!

    Perhaps go for a woman over 40, emigrate or become a monk ...
