Could AIDS/HIV be treated through diet?

If it is possible that AIDS and HIV could have came from monkeys or chimpanzees and the animals have adapted to the Simian immunodeficiency virus over the past 32,000 years then is it possible part of the animals diet helped fight the virus or provide immunity. Considering that diabetes, cancer and other diseases might be treated through diet. Could there be something unique to their diet ie tree bark, plant, insect... that might hold a key?

May 22 2012: Actually, I don't think we will find a treatment for the infection in diet. Based on how the virus hides and replicates I don't think we can cure once infected. It has the ability to hide in so many organ systems. What we might find is a way to strengthen our immune system to resist the virus through diet. Prevention. Interesting idea.
