    Jun 11 2012: Jenny,
In my perception, one of the most important practices in the life journey, is to "know thyself", and be able to balance thoughts, feelings and activities in each and every moment. We can do this by living mindfully aware in each moment, and adjusting our activities while always seeking balance:>)

If I do not take care of myself with a balance of activity and rest, I cannot do anything for anyone else. Keeping in mind the concept of balance, I am nurturing myself, as well as contributing to the whole of humankind in each and every moment of the life adventure:>)

Jun 11 2012: It is commendable and important to be of service to other people. It is good to be responsible to others and to be unselfish.

But it is also one's right to rest and give one's health and well-being utmost care.
Sometimes the demands of work in this age of commerce and manufacturing becomes suicidal.

It is important for us to always keep in mind that we've only got one life. And a good life is not a function of more money. Health, family, friends and love should be given time.
Sometimes, slowing down is the only wise thing to do.

May 31 2012: In the past I had such accurate speed that I felt the error rate was acceptable. Now with 2 bleeds in my brain stem accuracy is crucial and I am having to unlearn my old life to live with the one I have, guess what - slowing down ain't so bad!

May 20 2012: Go at the speed nature intended. Eat slowly - chew your food. Walk or cycle - it's cheeper - less polluting and will keep you fit and healthy. Live at a pace that will allow you to notice what is going on around you - if you don't you may miss that beautiful sunset - or you may miss seeing the bus that knocks you down and kills you!

May 11 2012: There are times for moving quickly and decisively, times for acting slowly and cautiously, a time for taking a break altogether, and times for moving slowly to take in what the circumstance offers. There is no reason to lead a life of one uniform pace in everything we do any more than for a piece of music to have its notes entirely equally spaced throughout.
