In this day and age, why do we have barriers on being entrepreneurs?

So I'm 14, and recently I have wanted to launch a product(http://www.indiegogo.com/VeeHub), but I really want to know why even with the transparency of the internet, and the power of social media, it is difficult for most without a large budget to turn their ideas into a reality. I would like to know how we can break the age barrier and make innovation available to everyone.

Secondly, it wouldn't be worthwhile to run off a dozen of these; you need a minimum order to make it profitable for the manufacturer. These things require a certain amount of money. The alternative would be designing the mold yourself and buying your own plastic forming equipment which would be more expensive than ordering it from an existing manufacturer.

So, how is this a barrier on being an entrepreneur? You want something that costs money but you want to skip the initial investment part and go directly to the part where you make money. That's a good fairytale but not much more than that. There is another option in that there are investors who will put up the money if they think you have a salable (and profitable) product. Since they would be paying the initial investment they would get a sizable share of the profits. Did you try that route?

Nowadays the barriers much lower than ever before. You can relatively easily make a product, website to represent yourself, market it with little or no cost through social media and create a community that loves your product.

Ideas can easily be turned into reality given you have the right idea, at right time with good execution strategy and know how to promote your ideas and engage the online community.

I think there is so much to learn about being entrepreneur and how to succeed. Many times it is a long journey. Given your age you seem to accomplish quite a bit. I encourage you to explore more venues, connect with people of similar interest, read about how what other successful people do and continue to experiment and learn along the way.

    Good luck!

May 11 2012: Quit looking for a license to succeed the only person who has the authority to issue that is you.

Here me on this as it will serve you for the rest of your life, get angry do what ever but DO NOT ignore this point. When you blame someone or something you are saying they are responsible and you are not. There fore you have this wonderful excuse on why you cannot succeed and don't have to try.

Sorry it ain't that easy YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, deal with what you have to deal with, life requires EFFORT.

You will probably fail, so what pick yourself up dust yourself off, and say to your self what did I learn, COOL. Yee haw What can I do next?
