Currency Assurance for spending money for people going overseas.
I know this is less noble than many ideas before, however would providing certainty for exchange rates for people planning to travel overseas open up the opportunity to more?
Would it encourage more people to go overseas and encounter the diversity of the human experience?
The specifics would be, when booking a flight you have the option to lock in the current exchange rate for the date you are traveling.
How does this differ from a debit card? There is a fee upfront, however the exchange happens not when it is bought but when you travel overseas. This means if a better rate is available there is no obligation to keep the contract and any money earnt in the meantime may be included in the exchange.
