Let the Chips fall where they may

"Its only after you've lost everything that ur free to do anything"

Why do we not wish to live happily the way we are instead of pursuing fantasies? Each and every individual in a society plays a key role in keeping the cycle of life rolling....if there were no sweepers, who would clean the city for you, if there were no doctors, who would u go to when ur sick

In this modern era, every one wants to be the king of the world, but sadly, theres only one king out of the millions...not 2 or 3. So do what ur best at....excel in it....and "Let the Chips Fall where they May"

    Not really following the logic on this one. Isn't finding another earthly planet a way of *prevention* of disaster?
    I think that we are just as focused on dealing with the after effects of something. Take medicine for example. Do we have more vaccines or do we have more medication? Prevention and treatment.


    I do agree with your point on how every individual in a society plays a key role in keeping the cycle of life rolling. We all strive for power but if everyone was powerful, the world would be dysfunctional. I don't know where you are getting at in your question though: why do we not wish to live happily the way we are instead of pursuing fantasies? What I want to ask you is why can't you allow people to dream? In order to make something a reality, you must dream first. And it is those that don't dream that are the sweepers you talk about.

      Apr 15 2012: i think the earthly planet perception which i wrote is a little messed up.....as u said that prevention and treatment can be the same thing....so in other words i was talking from a single perspective...while u were talking from a broader perspective. Thumbs up for that
      The second part...about fantasies......Dream is a very a dangerous word brother....it can make and break ur life....things will become more dicey if u started believing in dreams....rather be more realistic and be factual about life.....the stories which you hear of a lowlife person becoming a leader or a president...is a 1 out of a million case.....i dreamed of geting into MIT....i studied as hard as i could.....but i failed.....and instead..im studying Business studies in a mediocre university in Pakistan...So this whole story tells ya...that stop listening to the media crap...that one day ur gona be a moviestar,rockstar,scientist, Leader or wat ever....but rather believe in the fate which is awaiting you
