Mar 15 2011: To the human mind and eye, beauty is often symetry. Babies within hours of birth will attend to a symetrical face longer, we see the golden mean in many famous works of art, in nature such as in the pattern of sunflower seed arrangement and petals or in seashells. We are inately attracted to things that are symetrical.

      things that are unique,
Poeple who strive on self improvement,
And the list can go on...

Mar 11 2011: Truly beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I personally find when a random person helps another random person out for no reason other then noticing them struggle with something.

I'm a humanist, so to me beauty is people helping each other and sharing ideas.
  • Mar 10 2011: Beauty is subjective, meaning it is a matter of your point of view. We've heard the old adage, "one man's junk is another man's treasure." Beautifulness and ugliness are alike, considerations. There is a consensus though based on what the majority of the people believe to be "beautiful" and that would just mean more people think something is "beautiful" so therefore it is more so, purely based on the numbers of people agreeing it is so.
  • Mar 10 2011: a few aphorism( unfortunately, my english poorly but you can see the following aphorisms)

...."The most wretched, distressed, and suffering of men is the man with no work. For idleness is the cousin of non-existence, while striving is the life of existence and the waking state of life"....

........"The dignity of the weak before the strong becomes arrogance in the strong; while the modesty of the strong before the weak becomes abasement in the weak. The seriousness of someone in authority in their office is dignity, and his humility is abasement. While his seriousness in his house is haughtiness, and his humility, modesty. If an individual is on his own, then his tolerance and self-sacrifice are good acts. But if he is more than one, they are treachery and inauspicious. Someone should swallow his pride in his own name and not be boastful, but he may boast in the name of the nation and should not swallow his pride."......

........"A person who sees the good in things has good thoughts. And he who has good thoughts receives pleasure from life"...
