What is most precious to you and how far would go to protect such?
I am wondering more about the thinking that goes on in the heads of individuals.
I onced asked my young son when he was about eight years of age [he looked so pensive] "a penny for your thoughts?" He answered without a pause or change of mood; how about a nickel, he replied. I never ever did find out what was on his mind. It bothers me to this very day.
He is a psychiatrist now and never talls to me. He talks very little to his son so I am told.

Alison Gopnik: What do babies think?
Child prodigy Adora Svitak says the world needs "childish" thinking: bold ideas, wild
creativity and especially optimism. Kids' big dreams deserve high expectations, she says,
starting with grownups' willingness to learn from children as much as to teach.
