Negative footprint?

The idea is instead of having a zero footprint and closed loop system, but open the loop slightly and use already wasted products, i.e. landfill contents as inputs to the system. Reducing the already wasted products, and reclaiming those spaces. A step further potentially, taking the waste products from an industry and using those waste products as input products for another industry.

Overly ambitious?

Apr 10 2012: I try to follow this idea when possible. Example #1: I drive a 2001 Jeep. No car payments, work on it myself when possible. No new manufacturing production or waste. I also like the fact that gas prices are not as taxing due to the lack of a car payment and lower insurance rates.
