TED needs to make an alert system to allow users to know when their conversations have been commented on.
Also if their comments have been replied on.
It's a bummer to have to go look through "My conversations" and click through them all to see if anyone said anything.
This could maximize idea sharing
Also possibly an e-mail alert system?
This doable ?

I also think it might be worthwhile to consider a more classical style reply system, where the conversation is linear, rather than branching. People can quote things they would like to reply to, but the conversation stays on track. It seems counterproductive to allow people to break up into sub-conversations when the real strength of this place is its ability to bring people together.
