Google. Do you like or hate it?

Google is the number one private information seller in the world! What's your opinion about Google? The feeling "I'm being watched" bothers me a lot. Google, do not track me...

  • Mar 23 2012: I like the feeling that I can see and view others information through just one click from the internet. What also bothers me is that other people can also do the same to me. So, it's a both like and hate!

I am getting addicted to Google + besides Picasa, Google doodles are the best .Not to forget Blogger, Chrome,Translate. Our business has improved with the help of Google Images,Search and Adwords. I love their motto "Don't be Evil!".Google is the Best.

    Mar 21 2012: "Don't be Evil!" motto was brought into Google by Paul Buchheit, the creator of Gmail! I thought it was Larry and Sergey's idea...
    look here -->

    I used to really love google, for the same reason "Don't be evil!', but i try avoid google and use

    But I still use gmail, cuz i like it, and for documents.

    Right now I'm being tracked by these companies:
    Google Analytics
    Netratings Site Census
    Comscore Beacon

    and they're all doing it without my permission...
    • Mar 21 2012: Can't you just disable javascript?

        Mar 21 2012: I can't because i simply don't know how... And I guess there are a lot of people like me...
  • Mar 21 2012: Can you please provide a concrete evidence that shows Google is number one private seller of information in the world? I am not aware of such fact.

    I love Google and I consider it one of the best thing that happened in the Internet age. They have motto "Don't be evil" and try to stand by it. There are not perfect and are under lots of competitive pressure but I think they do, so far, the best job of ensuring user information stays private. They even introduced new way for users to protect their email accounts and work constantly on making Chrome very secured browser.

    I would worry about companies like Facebook. Their leader once declared that people do not need privacy. Facebook privacy settings is notoriously difficult to manage.

      Mar 21 2012: I agree with you, Mr.Smith, about Facebook...
  • Mar 20 2012: I like google, I think they offer more than they take - they've got so many useful things.... google books has great ebooks available for free and you can also check patents of inventions and stuff (for example, from tesla) and the google science fair seems like a nice encouragement. I think overall facebook is far more useless and has a lot of information too.
