A system/structure for collaboration of ideas and vote from everyone to create, and contribute to the development of products,gov policies
SImply by using the interactive capability of the internet, sites and function such as facebook as a platform, for governments or companies to create a structure, that will allow everyone to create ideas/solutions for problems... such as economic reform, health care bill, or in a company case..... it can let millions of users to contribute ideas, and vote for themselves to come up with ones that they want the most, which save on cost and get the product that fit their needs most.
And interactive platform to build the future by everyone.
A complete collaborate of idea creation, to design, to product specs. to voting for best design for products, policies, regulations.... by the people, customers, citizens.

Another problem with the idea is validating that each persons opinion is actually theirs. In a perfect world where corruption does not exist, this would not be a problem...but unfortunately it is and will continue to be.
One more, is that we are not all specialists. The majority of the voting population has no expertise when it comes to policy creation, no idea how to predict outcomes. This is why we elect people with similiar ideals, but with a higher expertise( not to mention the staff of advisors and economic specialists).
Ill say again, this is a great idea, and would contribute to the demographic process. I just think it only sounds good idealogically, not necessarily in reality. There are countless ideas out there that sound great in theory but wont really work out in practice. But I will always encourage brainstorming about ways to fix or enhance our current situation.

Second, this structure should not be just aimed at personal access of private internet connection..... there are so many groups out there that can connect to people that deosnt have internet.. schools, churches.... community groups... unions.. so many of them... idea is gathered and designed, internet is just a tool to smoothen this structure...
The idea is not to live in a passive world, that we just sit and wait for whatever things appear infront of us... we cant or have no channels to tell what we want, or what we like...
We have to accept things that we dislike... and when it gets so bad, we go protest...
Companies spend billions of dollars on marketing and finding out what products consumers wants... and a huge channel is infront of them.... to interactively design products that consumers really wants.... so i do think it is very useful... This is how the mountain bike is born.... a consumer driven and interaction created product...

But i believe this interaction needs to be pushed further.. companies need to ask... for designs.... and these designs can be help and aided by the expertises as you mentioned from their companies to come to the closest ideas that is feasible...
Then these fusion of design by consumers and the companies can be voted by consumers through various ways... doesn't necessarily means internet other channels can be too, texts.. calls... lots of different creative ways...
