How do you challenge your mind to do and say the right things?

Our state of mind and the power of our declaration shape our future, shape our world...good or bad.

What's great about being a human, is that we have the consciousness to choose from good or bad, in the meantime, the tendancy is to do or say "bad". Just for one minute, think about your thoughts, and listen to yourself thoughts...

Now, I believe that we all want what's best for us, family, businesses, friends and our world, at least on TED community. Share how do you teach, engage your mind, your thoughts to go in the right directions and saying the right things, by doing so, contribute creatively and positively to our world.

Remember, we are here to create and change, for the best that we can BE, therefore, helping our world!

Mar 15 2012: For me, it's all about choices. We choose what we believe, how we respond, and whether or not we'll self-manage. I feel that if I take responsibility for me, then I will become my ideal, or choose that it's just not worth it and 'pretty close' is just fine. Thnx.

      Mar 15 2012: Hi RH,

Being responsible of our choices, shows a great deal of respect for oneself and for others, cheers to you.

On the other hand, not everybody THINK like that. Lots of people have the tendancy to put the blame on someone else, even if they decided to choose on their own something. But we are here on this beautiful planet to learn, change and make the right choices...Keep it up RH!

I can only pray for the other ones.

Mar 15 2012: Amen. But I still believe they choose to blame others rather than to really look at what they contributed to the situation. And it someone else truly deserves blame, then we have not violated our pact towards righteousness, and therefore face another decision. Do we 'dust off our feet' and walk away, or something entirely different?

Mar 15 2012: For sure, this is exactly what "they" did. Take two to tango as it says right!

          Be bless RH!!

Mar 14 2012: i believe that sustainable motivation for saying to yourself right things is impossible. The only thing we can do is shaping our mind, thoughts and ideas and this require training like all our behaviours. Eventhough we didnt notice, we have created all our behaviours by training so maybe it will take time and also can hurt but traning our minds is crucial to chane ourselves and in doing so to be more creative

Mar 14 2012: I like the way you think Ufuk!

Indeed, our mind can be trained in the right direction. I will have to admit, it can be hard at times, but well worth it for sure, and actually necessary.

I beleive also, if you say outloud (not in the street, 'cause people will think you're crazy!), what you want your mind to think, it help also to direct it in the proper manner and change it for the best!!

      Tks for your input

Mar 15 2012: i exactly agree to "outloud" part. what we are talking is important because it is kind of reflection of our thoughts

Mar 15 2012: Exactly, if you say outloud : I'm beautiful, talented, genuine etc...you're mind tend to think that you are, and you become it...and not only we benefit from it, but our world, friends etc...

          Cheers Ufuk!

Mar 15 2012: Why is doing and saying the right thing a challenge? Oh what tangled webs we weave when we first practice to decieve. If we live our lives with honor we do not concern ourselves with this dilemma. All the best. Bob
