Will Open Translation Project be open to Ted-Ed videos and to every videos submited here?

It seems very important to me that Ted-Ed videos can be quickly translated in a lot of languages. And it's also frustrating to see that interesting videos (like Best of the web, for example) here are not available to translation.
Also, I suggested in a conversation to use vocal synthesis to pronounce subtitles for situations where subtitles don't work well (for people who don't see or read easily).

    Mar 14 2012: I manage the Open Translation Project at TED and am excited to tell you the answer is yes! We are in the process of testing a system that will allow us to bring other videos, including TED ED, into OTP.
